Yess! Snorkeling is fantastic. Especially on Karpathos there are lots of beautiful snorkeling spots. Until before, we always had a “normal” snorkel. Just one of those masks with a snorkel, get it? But since last summer that has changed. We now use an Easybreath snorkel mask.
Last vacation, you probably saw my picture with the Easybreath snorkel mask passing by on Facebook or Instagram. This was a collaboration with Decathlon where I got to test their Easybreath snorkel mask. Testing on Kyra Panagia
Just before we went on vacation, we received the Easybreath at home. Hup the suitcase and then it was time to go on our trip. One of the first days we stayed in the new Lux View Villas in Katodio, near Kyra Panagia. A nice place to test out the snorkeling mask and take some nice pictures.
Fortunately, the water is not very cold, which can still be the case in May. At the risk of his life (our camera is not waterproof) Vincent climbed with his camera on a rock in the water to take pictures. But hey, the result is worth it, right? 😉

Review Easybreath snorkelmasker
Okay, maybe the snorkel mask is not really fashionable, but it does 100% what it is supposed to do. We really like the fact that the snorkel and mask are one piece with the Easybreath. No more problems with your mouth with those separate snorkels and it also makes it easier to lend to others. Even my mother, who normally does not like snorkeling, liked this mask 😉 The snorkel mask is for sale for € 29,95. Really a very good price we think for a complete and good mask. You can buy the Easybreath both online and in the Decathlon store.
Pluses and minuses
+ Good (great) visibility underwater
+ The mask does not fog up
+ Easy breathing (much nicer than a loose snorkel set)
– You cannot dive to the bottom with it. The moment you go too deep, the mask sucks in a vacuum and, as a result, no more air comes in/out of the mask.

Update 14/6 on unbranded “Easybreaths”
After this post, I got a lot of messages from people who were happy with our review and still wanted to make sure the mask doesn’t fog up (no, it really doesn’t!). It seems that you can buy this kind of snorkel mask in stores like Lidl. Okay, they are slightly cheaper, but the quality is really a lot less we hear. They fog up very quickly, which is of course very dangerous when you want to snorkel. Just be careful which one you buy 🙂
Snorkeling on Karpathos
Karpathos is perfect for snorkeling. There are so many beautiful spots the island has to offer. In May the water is still cold, especially as you go deeper. We recommend going in late September.
